I'm sure you guys know that visual studio is largely important in creating mods. Without it, you can do little to edit c++. Well, at some point, microsoft released a free visual studio 2003 toolkit so that we won't have to pay the hefty price of $90, but lo and behold, all the links are dead. I heard from some forums that the greedy bastards ended the opportunity to get the free dl, thus leaving me unable to compile any c++ for my hl2 mods. For example, I can't create new weapons to be used on hl2. My question is, if you guys have the solution, I would appreciate it if you would tell me. $90 is too much for a piece of software. You'd be surprised. They're selling Auto CAD for $699. So if you know a link that works, or if you know a program that can open .sln files for half life 2, please tell me, and you would have my gratitude... and karma if you believe in that stuff.
