I remember the first version of outbreak, heh I actually still have a copy of it. This thing has come a long way since then and has proven its self worthy of standing along side the few great smod mods out there. Considering that Vet created the original for his own enjoyment (even though he never plays it ) with no intentions of a public release, this mod has become (in my eyes) a new standard that every one here can say they where a part of, even if not from the very beginning. You will still be here when this thing kicks off and that makes you part of something even if it’s a small part. To the future of Outbreak! May it be filled with... Uh... Stuff!

Excellent. And yes a future full of good 'stuff'. So do we have an ETA?

It looks like its going to be fun. I remember I would modify the original smod to my hearts content. Oh good times I replaced the magnum 357 with the hunting rifle from Zombie Master, and I replaced the smg1 with an uzi. I did lots of great stuff and took away the stupid gibbing and stuff like that... but I could never figure out how to remove the headcrabs. The bland identical zombies who had dumb-looking headcrabs on their head ruined all of ravenholm for me. But this looks like its going to be a flawless zombie killing fest. Good job, I've been anticipating this for a long time. Longer than I'd like, but its good to know the time has been spent well. I can barely wait.

Why are there so many zombies on highway 17 and after? They are not in my version. My highway 17 travel tour was very quiet. And my visit in Nova Prospect too. Will this be in future versions? I have 0.45.

This is the trailer for the new (unreleased) version. If you are playing the old .45 version then you will encounter no added zombie content after Ravenholm. The new version will have more palyable campaign maps (playable through the cost chapter) which is why you see added zombies in the trailer. Welcome to the forum.

Another question: Are there more maps to play? (i mean custom maps) Because on youtube i have seen people which are playing other maps with smod outbreak. If there other maps to play how can i play these and how do i get them?

At the moment there are no custom maps for this mod. I am working on a few that I plan to release in do time but I am only one man and it will take a good deal of time to produce a fun and full functional map. You could use a CS:S or another pre existing map and add the zombies yourself or you could write a map add script (don’t ask, I don’t have a clue how that works) or watch some of the tutorials I have posted up, I know there long winded but they should help get you started in working with hammer editor and any questions you have about hammer I can actually help you with I will do so gladly. After the release of the update I think more mappers will start show up and we’ll see more custom maps but until then I’m afraid that there’s not too many options. Let me know if you’re interested in learning the ways of hammer and if you have any questions. Here is the thread: veterangamer.proboards81.com/index.cgi?board=random&action=display&thread=352 PS. I still love the way this trailer came out. : )
