Do you find yourself sitting in your chair frustrated, wanting to contribute something but don't know exactly what or where, as you await for development to progress?
Here's what OUTBREAK could really benefit from and would overall make everything more solid and improved.
A.) Do you know HTML? OUTBREAK's pathetic website (made by yours truly) really brings shame into to the world, this abomination cannot hope to survive much longer in it's current state, can you, or would you like to improve it? Or should I kill it once in for all.
B.) Are you a good researcher or information collector? Almost everything in OUTBREAK came from an HL2-related community site, can you find the sources and Author's from which they came from so we can either ask or include them in credits (so this forum and mod don't get shut-down and you all miss out on it)
"HEY WHY DON'T YOU DO THAT, IT'S YOUR FAULT!"
I understand your concern, but unfortunately part of my ability being a mighty SMOD commando, is also my curse. Due to...mental issues I suppose. The way I use stuff is like this.....
1.) Download everything that catches my eye.
2.) Extract all resources into my temporary dumping dir. on my storage drive.
3.) Extract every game-related texture/model etc from the newly created mess, into a single dir. where the magic happens, my W.I.P. dir. This folder has no real file structure, no assigned anything. With all the left over text files (readme's, configs and scripts" floating everywhere, I simply delete them to make room on my screen for the current objective. I've done this process millions of times over, and the result is a clueless modder not knowing where most of the shit came from. EVILMRLEE seems to know some of the sources, perhaps if you choose to accept this difficult, boring, irritating task (caused by me of course), he can give you the already known sources, and you can add the rest to the list, after I get a large enough or the most possible complete list, I will personlly contact..more like declare their stuff is being used, and see how they want to go about it.
This is not fun and I'm telling you right now, I simply can't and won't do it myself, since I'm doing lame stupid things, like developing the mod. Thanks to the most likely imaginary volunteer who does this in advance.
this thing is looking amazing, and progressing extremely fast, so much I don't bother updating the "checklist" threads anymore, for a while. But those two things are my main concerns as of now, back to work!
