It would be epic if you could rig a secondary function to switch between timed and impact detonation. I know, I am basically asking if you can make it launch flying pigs but I just thought I would share my brilliance. Well, I don't think I could switch the mode of the primary fire, but maybe I could make secondary fire launch a timed explosive? I will check it out. Also here is the release: M79 Grenade Launcher. Tested on SMOD40a. See it in action:ANIMATION PREVIEWWORLD MODEL PREVIEWInstall Instructions:M79 GRENADE LAUNCHER V2 Tested with SMOD 40a Extract to your smod directory. It should be pretty simple to figure out. The only way you can mess this up is by copying the scripts. You will need to add a number to the end of the weapon_custom.txt script (between 1-30 should work) DO NOT use this script to overwrite your own: smod_custom_explosive.txt Copy the text from the scripts/weapon_m79.txt file into you game_sounds_weapons.txt file. If you want some alternative M79 skins for the model look here - www.fpsbanana.com/skins/15278This pack includes a matching SMG1 Grenade for the launcher. It will replace the default HL2 SMG1 Grenade. If you do not want it, don't copy the models/items folder from this pack. If you want to try the Alternate firing sound, just drop it into the sound/weapons/m79 folder. I prefer the one from TF2 myself, but I didn't package that with this release because I respect Valve...just a little. Supurb, very well done. Can’t wait to use it, keep up the good work. Oh and yes, I meant setting a secondary function as the timed grenade. Doesn’t really matter much as the M79 didn’t actually have that feature (nor do most G launchers). A little known fact witch could work as a more realistic option, in Vietnam the US soldiers armed with this weapon would make custom shells for it that usually fired pellets or metal fragments like a really big shotgun, they found this more useful in the close quarters engagements in the jungle. So a simple shotgun blast would work just fine, not saying that it needs it or anything, just trying to think of a way to improve its usefulness.
