Instead of making posts or threads about every tiny improvement, I figure I'd make a sticky-permanent thread that will have links to videos showing....SMOD goodness and outbreaks progress I suppose. I will update it every time I create a movie or have a note-worthy amount of shit to encode and upload. While you sleep, go to work, do your regular routine no matter what it be, I'm here, awake, alone, UNEMPLOYED but active, can't stay with no work like this forever, but damn it, how can someone wanna work when I could be here doing all this cool stuff. Do I detect a new hand grenade model? I love the new Hydra like appearance of the barnacles and the explosions are coming along nicely. The bullet impact spark effects look similar to those in your first release of outbreak, the config file with all of the cranked up settings. It’s a shame bullets don’t spark like that in reality but then again reality is boring. I look forward to the update. Vet, I do have one question kind of unrelated, did you ever manage to get the combine_s to through grenades?

yeah, the grenade explodes on impact, with an extreme amount of damage (gibs enemies) but in a short radius, kinda like a mini-nuke.
if theres a crowd of enemies, chuck one at em, itll take down 2-3, its really cool.
and yes, i dont know how, but finally the combines chuck grenades at you too, gotta be careful as they can seriously hurt you.
and good eye with the hydra, heres something you may not have noticed, i took the "hydra hook/body" and replaced the barnacle's tounge with it, as well as scaled the barnacle to be bigger, wider/thicker

Vet: “here is something you may not have noticed, I took the "hydra hook/body" and replaced the barnacle's tongue with it,” I thought I saw that I only watched the video once but while I was watching I sort of noticed that it resembled the Hydra’s tentacle but I figured that wasn’t the case. It’s defiantly going to be refreshing to see the legendary Hydra finally find a place in the half life universe once more.

Holy shit! Nice, nice niiice job, man. lol btw, this is sort of similair to what I'm doing with my projects! Just keeping a journal or something it's kinda hard now that I have little to zero time to work on anything and this shit takes TIME. Also: if you want the insurgency sleeve mesh I can send it to you and I can reskin it black or to w/e you like.. that is if you don't care or fear for the mod team crackin down on ya for it. ALSO: you might want to make a note that the hud icons will look quite large in a lower res because they're a sprite not a font character. And they'll be smaller on high [real high] resolutions.
now back to homework and shit.. atleast its the weekend and I have sometime to hang with friends and chill at least..
if i'm in absence for a while you know why hehe man i'm so sick of school the word 'college' makes me wanna shoot myself fuck 6 more years of this imprisonment! damn labor camps stripping me of my damn civil rights lol alright peace, take care man

by the way my good friend, i cant seem to get the RLX model to work in the script snippet you sent, think you could help me with that, as i have no clue on how to do VGUI related things, and i mean NO clue
and college man, shit i wish i woulda gone, probably wouldnt be here now or even know you for that matter, but i bet it would have been better than living like a broke ass crumb snatching peasant in the roman empire, haha, youll be fine, just make sure you go all the way, cause as we get older, this world gets colder ( ***edit*** as in money!!! you need it to eat and breathe, haha!)

RLX models? Huh, when was this? I'm sure i can hook ya up with most things vgui, no prob man. But yeah, I'm just flinging shit, I know it's good for me, and just like brocoli it doesn't taste good but it's good for ya, lol. and yeah, i know what you mean. i'm itching for a coat right now cos it's getting chilly and there's plenty more degrees to be dropped as I keep goin.

yeah, the rocket launcher, i think its just a matter of the weapon_s and weapon_xx or whatever off by a bit, ill try to figure it out on my own, i should know this kinda stuff, always neglected it

ive been and still am hard at work on the update things are going great i didnt forget about the video..promise, just need to finish two weapon models/sounds and tweak the scripts so they look solid in the video
well actually i also have to recompile 6 or 7 zombie2 models, to fix rotations on the climb, speaking of which, i must do what i forgot and just remembered just now, try to blend the climb-dismount event/anim into the zombie2's, so after they climb, they can function as normal
i also forgot those two freakin mp3s i was messing with at my cousins house, shit. how could i have forgotton!
anyway the point is, i havent forgot, im on it, knee deep in it, thanks for being patient, and the video will probably be created tonight, tomorrow, or after...what a shitty way to estimate but its how i see it happening haha.

im gonna have to take a little extra time with that video, i just discovered some more cool vmt variables for smods splash and water-splashing effects, as well as smoke, and new muzzle flashes....(HOLY FDUCKING SHIT THIS IS SO COOL!) and of course im still plagued with zombie2's not wanting to dismount
